Here are some activities for teachers to explain and share with their students.
Make a poster
In the first Wimpy Kid, Greg decides to run for treasurer. Greg hangs several unflattering posters around the school about his opponent. Vice Principal Roy removed all of the posters and Greg was out of the race. Write a scenario that would have been a positive way for Greg to run for office and make a poster to go along with ideas.
Write an allegory
An allegory is a fable or story that teaches a moral or life lesson. In Rodrick Rules, Greg makes up a funny allegory about Rodrick. Rodrick doesn't even realize that the humorous story is about him. Write an allegory using a literary character from one of your favorite books.
Time Capsule or Time Travel
_Greg and Rowley make a time capsule in Wimpy Kid 3. Try filling
your own time capsule with a friend. You could also read books about
time travel to get some ideas.
Your Own Diary
Start with either your own drawings and apply a story or start with the story and add the visualizations. Be creative and read other graphic novels to get ideas.
